With the start of a new unit, we've been covering completely new grounds for me. While modelling a lamp is a fairly simple and
straightforward process, the idea of these early stages in the project is to get a grasp on what the different processes are in 3D modelling.
This lamp was made during the session, and while it isn't the most elegant of designs, it helped me to get a grasp on how to perform the various tasks available within maya. The different areas of the lamp were made by creating cylinders and then extruding and altering their shapes into something resembling a desk lamp.
