After that, I created the wire that connects the bottom of the base to the cylinder of the handset below the mouthpiece using the curve tool to create a motion path, before making a helix that i could attach to the path and make it conform to it, emulating the shape of the wire. With the model almost complete, all that was left was to do a pass for the fine detail, which included the holes on both the earpiece and the mouthpiece, as well as adding the finer details on the dial, using the same technique of instancing an object.
With my model complete, I exported it into keyshot, and rendered the image, using some of the materials available in the program to really make the model seem realistic.
