The process can then be repeated for the other sections of the same material, each with their own layer group and separate layers to form the non-destructive workflow. The metal requires another separate layer group, and you can heighten the realism of your texture, by either painting on a drop shadow on the wood, or by creating one using the layer effects.
The final step of the process is to remove the UV map from the PSD so that when you put it back onto your UV map, there are no residual lines on the texture
